Video-Audio conference

At the heart of Space Chat is Space Conference, which lets you have Audio or Video conferences with your team, or publicly on the internet, while also enabling other features such as, recording, and simulcasting. Space conferences can be joined via any device with a webcam and internet access, and also with an invite URL, in your browser.

Secure Mode

Secure mode allows End to End or Group Admin/host to End Encryption. This will obfuscate data of the meeting or chat being uploaded to server, ensuring that no-one can get access to your data in understandable form, not even the hosting servers. PS: Not available for public meetings

How secure mode works?

Space's unique double-layer encryption starts with a traditional secured WebSocket connection to the application server, then it builds up a custom local layer of security within it. It uses end to end encrypted direct messages for key exchange. In secure mode, all the data, including, group chat, voice and video conference is encrypted using AES-256. On this second layer the messages sent from each individual is encrypted on device before being uploaded to server and distributed to each participant. Decryption keys are shared between each group member's device autonomously. Keys are refreshed, every-time a member leaves.

A meeting room is created and an invitation link containing private decryption key is shared in already end to end encrypted private chat of each individual through hosts account.

Clicking on the link takes the user to the meeting waiting room. Host device receives encryption keys of each participant and shares the list with every participants device automatically in background. Meeting starts as soon as everyone has joined.

Invitation link and cache with the encryption and decryption keys as well as the obfuscated data on server self destroys(unless host deselects it) at the end of meeting.
